As a childcare professional, we often leave the institution of learning and we believe that this is now "fully developed" in our field of expertise. This is far from the truth. Developing the staff of the childcare service is vital to keeping a fresh lively service that provides the best for caring children. The childcare profession is physically and emotionally drained and it is often difficult to motivate our staff to continue professional development. Here are four thoughts to consider when motivating staff at child care centers to continuously develop professional development:
Developing a Culture of Continuous Learning
When an existing culture exists in any workplace, new staffs tend to have this culture their own work ethic. In childcare centers, if the current staff culture promotes and evaluates professional development, new staff will quickly be provided with other surrounding energy.
